Beckley, WV (WOAY) Raleigh General Hospital is adding a high-tech new member to its environmental services team, an autonomous floor-cleaning robot designed to help keep the hospital clean, safe, and welcoming for patients, visitors, and staff.
The robot was developed by Peppermint Robotics and uses advanced technology to efficiently clean large floor areas throughout the hospital.
The new addition allows environmental services staff to focus on detailed cleaning and patient-centered care.
Hospital leaders say their newest employee will support their ongoing commitment to safety and high-quality patient care.
However, it needs a name, and that is where your help is needed.
Raleigh General Hospital is inviting the public to help name the robot through an online naming contest.
The winning name will be announced on the hospital’s social media pages on June 10.
You can submit name ideas by visiting Raleigh General Hospital’s website.
