Raleigh County, WV (WOAY) – A traffic stop results in the arrest of a Raleigh County man.
According to a media release, on Thursday May 29, 2025, Lt. Jason Redden of the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office stopped a blue Toyota Rav 4 driven by Justin Raynes in the 9100 block of Clear Fork Road in the Dorothy area of Raleigh County. The stop was initiated due to the vehicle having multiple equipment violations.
Upon making contact with the driver Lt. Redden noted signs of impairment. An impaired driving investigation was conducted, and the driver was taken into custody.
Justin Raynes is charged with 1st offense DUI of a controlled substance, failure to wear his safety belt as required by law and failure to produce a certificate of insurance for the vehicle he was operating.
Raynes was taken to Southern Regional Jail and being held on a $2000 bond.
