RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – Deputy Steven Frey calls it an honor to be promoted to corporal by Sheriff Frank Priddy.
He says especially in Judge Froble’s courtroom, where Frey is the bailiff.
The corporal comes from a lineage of law enforcement.
“Law enforcement’s a close-knit family, so it’s great having the support of the sheriff and chief deputies here, and getting promoted working in the courthouse is awesome,” Frey said.
According to the corporal, it provides him an alternate perspective than he would get out on the road.
“You can see the differences the judges make here firsthand after the process of being arrested or whatever it may be,” Frey said. “I just want to keep on doing the best I can and serving the people of Raleigh County.”
