Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office hosting You Are Not Alone outreach event on December 20 in Sophia

Sophia, WV (WOAY) The holidays can be a rough time to navigate, despite all of the twinkling lights and good cheer.

The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office and its partners want the community to know that they are not alone this holiday season.

The Sheriff’s Office and partnering organizations will host their final You Are Not Alone outreach event of the year on Saturday, December 20.

Saturday’s event is in Sophia at the Hope Center located on 410 W. Main St., from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

Sergeant B. J. Adkins organized the event to bring on-site resources to people struggling with substance abuse, mental health, or homelessness who are ready to seek assistance. 

Outreach teams will be set up around the area to offer help with no questions asked.
