Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office hosting free internet safety class for officers on May 16

Beckley, WV (WOAY)-The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO)  is taking new steps to protect kids from online dangers. 

Sheriff Frank Priddy is teaming up with the Safe Surfin’ Foundation. 

Safe Surfin’s goal is to stop online predators before they commit crimes, block hateful or illegal messages, and promote positive uses of technology.  

RCSO will host a free internet safety class on May 16th at 9:00 a.m. at the Beckley Moose Lodge.

The training equips law enforcement officers with the necessary tools to keep children safe in a rapidly changing digital world.
