Raleigh County, WV (WOAY) – The Raleigh County Sheriff’s office announces plan to continue community outreach program.
According to a media release on the department’s Facebook page, Sgt. B.J. Adkins, along with recovery specialists from the community, will conduct the next “You Are Not Alone” outreach program in Beaver on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The location is tentatively set for the Sheetz parking lot—final details to be confirmed.
The first You Are Not Alone” outreach event took place on June 18, 2025, in Beckley on the Harper Road Sheetz parking lot. The Sheriff’s Office and several peer specialists and organizations came together with a mission to provide on the spot resources to people seeking help with: Substance Abuse or Mental Health.
According to the media release, Sheriff Frank Priddy and Chief Deputy Frankie Shelton remain committed to the continued growth of the “You Are Not Alone” outreach program in Raleigh County and hopefully it spreads beyond.
