RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (WOAY)- The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office says they are fortunate to have reached a level of preparedness in the previous week and months, although no one can say they were truly prepared, especially not until this out break subsides.
The office, along with other law enforcement agencies, EMS services, fire services and health care providers are in constant connection and adjusting responses as new information arises.
The RCSO asks for your understanding and assistance as they also seek to comply with directions from health care professionals, and expect you to notice some altercation in the way they are responding.
Although deputies will respond to emergencies, remember that they have probably responded and had interaction with other individuals and ask you to step into an open area where you may maintain some distance. In situations where physically presence is not needed, deputies are able to take incident reports by while while providing a thorough investigation. Additionally, there is no need to come to the office to file report, you can simply call and leave information if no one is available and they will cal back when they can.
RCSO encourages you to follow guidelines set forth by health care professionals as well as practice social distancing and staying home if you don’t feel well.
