Raleigh County Parks and Recreation Authority will hold a ribbon-cutting for new community orchard project

Raleigh County, WV (WOAY) – The Raleigh County Parks and Recreation Authority will hold a ribbon-cutting next Tuesday to celebrate a new community orchard project in Dry Hill Prosperity Park.

The project, which was put together by the 2025-2026 leadership Beckley class. It will offer 15 fruit trees that are open to the public.

Although it will be two to three years before the trees produce fruit, the eventual fruit harvests will be free to the public for picking.

The ribbon cutting will happen July 28 at 2 p.m.
