BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – Raleigh County Parks and Recreation, including Lake Stephens, have announced Fireworks will be held at Lake Stephens on July 5, 2020, at 10:00 PM. Fireworks can be viewed from several areas at the Lake, including the beach, the dam area, and from your boat in the water! Tune into 99.5, WJLS, The BIG DAWG for music to accompany the fireworks.
The Beach, Splash Pad, and Aqua Park will not open at the regular hours on July 5, 2020. The Splash Pad and Aqua Park will be closed on July 5, 2020. The Beach will open at 6:00 PM. Swimming will be aloud from 6:00 PM until dusk. To view the fireworks from the Beach the cost will be $3 per person. There will be a limited number of beach passes sold. The Beach will remain open until the end of the fireworks. A & J Catering will also have the concession stand open the evening of July 5, 2020.
The overlook will be closed to all visitors on July 5, 2020.
