Beckley, WV(WOAY)- A suspect is in custody in connection with an attempted robbery in Raleigh County.
On Friday, April 25, deputies with the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of an attempted robbery at Hartshorn’s Mini Mart on 713 Bolt Road.
Shortly after the call was dispatched, law enforcement located the suspect, identified as 47-year-old Theodore Honaker of Fairdale.
Authorities say Honaker attempted to flee the scene, but deputies quickly apprehended him.
Honaker is now facing charges of attempted robbery and fleeing from a police officer.
He awaits further court proceedings in Southern Regional Jail on a $50,000 bail.
The arrest was carried out by Deputy M.S. Dunlap, with assistance from Sergeant H.W. Long, Captain M.P. Webb, and Corporal E.E. Queen.
