Raleigh County man charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny

Mabscott, WV (WOAY) A Raleigh County man is facing felony charges following a breaking and entering investigation. 

According to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s office, deputies were notified of a break-in in the Mabscott area on January 22.

During the investigation, Lieutenant B. Stump followed up on leads that led him to the Crab Orchard area. 

Investigators say the stolen property was recovered, and the suspect was identified as 55-year-old John Hooper. 

Hooper was arrested and charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny. 

He awaits further court proceedings in Southern Regional Jail on a $25,000 bail.
