BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – Raleigh County Head Start is now enrolling students for the 2020-21 school year.
After closing in mid-march, Raleigh Head Start is gearing up to reopen in the fall. Raleigh Community Action Association Executive Director Ron Cantley says the decision to enroll students’ recommendations made this academic year of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
“We do plan on convening to the best of our ability. We know from the American Association of Pediatrics and as well as common sense that we need to convene school as soon as we can. We want to do that in a healthy, safe way and follow all guidelines,” said Cantley.
The school plans to enroll all 350 children.
