UPDATE (3/9/2020 9:39 AM) – Raleigh County Emergency Services canceled its full-scale disaster exercise that was previously scheduled for tomorrow.
Officials say they plan to reschedule the event after “unforeseen circumstances” forced the cancellation. They will announce the new date to the public when it has been scheduled.
BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – The Raleigh County Emergency Services will be conducting a full-scale disaster exercise next week.
The exercise will take place on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at around 10 am at the Harper Mills Skilled Nursing Facility at 100 Heartland Drive in Beckley.
Motorists traveling in the area will see a significant presence of emergency vehicles on site. Motorists are encouraged to yield to emergency vehicles in the area.
The exercise will be completed at around noon.
