Raleigh County emergency services release COVID-19 plan

RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (WOAY)- At this time, there are still no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in West Virginia.

However, Raleigh County emergency services has been working closely with all partners at different levels of government to ensure a safe response to this event. Persons who feel they need testing for COVID-19 are urged to call their healthcare provider and follow their instruction. additionally you can contact the Beckley-Raleigh County Health Department at 304-252-8531 to speak with a nurse about your symptoms. If you are ill and going to the emergency department, please call before arriving and follow their instructions.

Citizens can obtain information through the CDC and WV DHHR websites. In addition, you can call 1-800-887-4304 toll 24/7. Operators are available to provide accurate information about COVID-19, the risk to the public and the state’s response.

Raleigh County Emergency Services continue to monitor the situation in coordination with state officials and ask people to use trusted sources of information.
