Raleigh County, WV (WOAY) – A traffic stop in Raleigh County results in drug arrest.
According to a media release from the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office, on Monday, September 8, 2025, Cpl. J. Howard pulled a vehicle over in the area of I-64 in Beaver.
During the investigation, Deputies called in a K9 Grom and his handler Cpl. J. Hensley for further assistance. A short time later K9 Grom detected the odor of narcotics inside the vehicle.
According to the media release, deputies seized approximately 90 grams of Methamphetamine as a result of the investigation.
46-year-old Melissa Eugenia Raines has been arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver.
Raines is being held in the Southern Regional Jail under a $25,000 bond.
