Raleigh County Courthouse employee tests positive for COVID-19

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – An employee at the Raleigh County Courthouse has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to Raleigh County Chief Deputy Clerk, Cecilia Chapman, the employee woke up feeling sick on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.  The employee quarantined at home until the results came back, which were positive. The other employees that were near the employee are quarantined, and so far have not exhibited any symptoms.

Chapman says the office was closed and was deep cleaned.  They remain in constant contact with the Raleigh County Health Department.
