Beckley, WV (WOAY)- The Raleigh County Community Action Association is seeking volunteers to help with its point-in-time count.
The association will host a training session at the Beckley Salvation Army on Monday, January 27, from 5:30 pm 6:30 pm
The point-in-time count aims to identify the number of unhoused individuals and families statewide.
The count measures the needs of those experiencing homelessness to provide direction for developing future services.
The results from the count are provided to local agencies as vital information for seeking funding for services.
The count will start on January 29 at 4:00p.m until January 30 at 3:59 p.m.
Volunteers can choose any shift at any length of time within the 24-hour period.
