Greenbrier County, WV (WOAY) – Spring is here, and a new court in Rainelle is ready and waiting for you to come enjoy it, and all you need is a paddle and a ball.
The pickleball courts at Greenbrier Hills Golf and Tennis Club are open to the public and free to play.
Newswatch four’s very own Caleb Pearl took a first crack at the sport to see what all the fuss is about. Let’s just say the courts are ready to go, but Caleb might need a few more sessions before he is.
The courts’ construction finished last fall, and now that winter is in the rearview mirror, Mayor Pendleton says she’s ready to finally see people get out and enjoy something Rainelle has worked hard to put together.
