Rain comes back Wednesday but should move out in time for most football games on Friday

It has been a great weather day for elections across the region today with temperatures above the average. As we head into Wednesday, temperatures will stay around 70 degrees, but cloud cover and shower activity will start to overspread the region. Models are hinting that the start time for showers could be from 12-3 PM, although it won’t be a super widespread rain until the late evening and overnight hours. Due to the dry weather we have received over the last couple of weeks, flash flooding is not expected Wednesday even with some heavier rain possible.

Here is a look at the European model around midnight Thursday. Heavy rain looks to be likely for some areas across our region. The majority of this should move out by noon and should set the later soccer games up without widespread rain. The early soccer games Thursday morning could be on the wet side.

Here is a look at the futurecast rainfall from the European model and it’s also been trending down since the last couple of days. Only a few areas expecting to pick up over an inch of rain, but again with the rain falling heavy at times some people will be over that one inch mark.
