Rain backs off for the start of the week before picking back up midweek

We’re still tracking a few showers out and about this afternoon here in Southern West Virginia, but nothing that we will really have to worry about. Rain will start to taper off over the next few hours, leading to quieter conditions overnight. Monday and Tuesday will bring a break from rainfall for most, with only some mountain showers possible both days.

Wednesday will be the next day to watch as a weather system will increase overall moisture in the area. However, even then, the rain isn’t expected to stay for long, as drier conditions look more likely through the end of the week.

Temperatures are looking not as hot over the next several days, but I do expect them to remain warm and muggy. You’ll need to keep hydrating a bit extra as we move into the next several days.
