Quiet Early Week Before Beryl Rain Arrives

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Following a fabulous Sunday, a risk for a shower or storm returns ONLY to the Greenbrier Valley.

RAINFALL TRENDS THIS WEEK: A stalled front just east of our region could stir up a shower or storm in eastern Greenbrier to Pocahontas County Monday afternoon. Otherwise, scattered showers return Wednesday afternoon with likely showers Thursday and Friday, primarily in the afternoon, from Beryl’s center as it passes through the Ohio Valley.

Analog storms to Beryl in the past have produced 0.50-1.50″ of rain across our region. This rain would be beneficial in chipping away at the drought. The likely strong mid-level flow will keep the circulation center going, so we don’t see a risk for Beryl to stall and bring flooding rain later this week.
