Princeton woman arrested for allegedly hitting an elderly veteran in the head and stealing his wallet

Mercer County, WV (WOAY) – A Princeton woman has been arrested for allegedly hitting a man in the head with a hammer and stealing his wallet.

Kathy Turner is facing charges that include robbery and malicious assault.

A criminal complaint alleges Turner and an unidentified man attacked the victim, an elderly Marine veteran, with a hammer, causing injuries to his head, face, and arm.

She allegedly took his wallet and fled from the scene with $30 and the victim’s bank cards.

She allegedly used one of the stolen debit cards for $110 at a local gas station.

Turner is being held in the Southern Regional Jail on a $75,000 bond.
