Princeton nursing home doctor battles COVID-19

PRINCETON, WV (WOAY) – Dr. Charles Mirabile, a physician who was treating patients during a COVID outbreak at a Princeton nursing home, has tested positive for COVID-19 and is now on a ventilator.

Dr. Mirabile is beloved by friends and co-workers, and has served nursing home patients since 1981. His wife, Cathy, also contracted the virus, and was recently hospitalized at Princeton Community Hospital.

“He unfortunately is a victim of COVID-19 that he contracted at the nursing home,” said former PHCC Administrator Roger Topping. “His condition is one that, he was in CCU at Princeton. They air evacuated him out to Ruby Memorial in Morgantown.”

Topping asks for thoughts and prayers for Dr. Mirabile and his wife during this tough situation.
