Police talks dealing with the public during the coronavirus outbreak

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – While concerns continue over the coronavirus, Beckley Police Department is making changes to procedures while dealing with the coronavirus.

Detective a Police David Allard says his department is doing everything they can to protect themselves during the outbreak.

“First and foremost, the safety of the public and the well being of officers and the employees here are our main properties. We have been coordinating our efforts with Mayor Rappold’s direction to ensure our employees are protected and can still do their jobs,” said Allard.

Allard says he does not foresee the Beckley Police Department completely closing to the public during the outbreak.
