Plane crash in Wyoming County

Pineville, WV (WOAY) There was a plane crash in Wyoming county on Sunday morning. According to Captain Tommy Blankenship at the Wyoming County Sheriff’s office, the incident only involved a private aircraft with a single pilot, and miraculously, there were no serious injuries.

Around 10:45 Sunday morning, the pilot reported engine problems to air traffic control in Indianapolis. They lost radio contact, and shortly after comms returned, the pilot had to make a crash landing at Kee Field runway, near Windom. The plane ran off the end of the runway and damaged a chain link fence, but otherwise, there were no serious damages to the runway, and no casualties.
