PINEVILLE, WV (WOAY) – The Pineville Fire Department will be hosting a firework show on Labor Day for surrounding residents.
Due to COVID-19, some of the other festivities common in past years won’t be held. The firework display will be located in front of the Fire Department.
“We have a Fair’s and Festival’s Grant which will pay for most of it,” said Pineville Fire Department Chief Mike Goode. “Labor Day has not been a money maker for us, it’s just been more or less something that we wanted to do for the people. Now, I’m not saying that we don’t any money, but we don’t get out what we put in. This year, we don’t have any rides. We’re not doing any concessions.”
Wearing masks and social distancing is encouraged for this event.
