PRINCETON, WV (WOAY) – With less than a week to go until season openers, high school football teams that are cleared to play this Friday and Saturday are making final preparations for the 2020 season.
For the PikeView Panthers and Montcalm Generals, that meant a scrimmage Monday evening at Hunnicutt Stadium in Princeton.
Both head coaches, Adam Havens and Jason Spears, were thankful for the chance to take part in the scrimmage, noting how Mercer County teams were only able to hold practices last week due to being in the orange zone.
PikeView opens the season Friday at Independence, while Montcalm hosts River View Saturday.
