PRINCETON, WV (WOAY) – Mercer County Prosecuting Attorney David Pfeifer has won the Republican primary, defeating Anthony Heltzel.
According to preliminary results, Pfeifer will advance to the November general election. No Democrat filed for the seat.
The Mercer County Commission appointed Pfeifer prosecuting attorney in February to fill the vacancy left by Brian Cochran, who Governor Patrick Morrisey appointed to the Mercer County Circuit Court bench.
