BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – A group of parents from Woodrow Wilson high school is organizing a parade to help recognize seniors during this difficult time. The route will start at 7 pm at Epling Stadium. All seniors are encouraged to wear their caps and gowns and to decorate their cars.
“I just felt that during this time, a lot of the seniors are devastated that they are not getting their specific shining moment, and this is just a little way that the community can kind of for them while still maintaining social distancing,” said parent Traci Stacy.
“This is just a little bit that we can get back to our senior year since we have so much taken away from us. It doesn’t make up for everything, but he gives us some senior memories that other seniors to come will not have so. It’s very special to me, and I know other seniors as well to have this experience,” said senior Logan Ragland.
