BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – It’s quite literally a one-stop shop for all things cosmetics.
“We are a piercing shop, a tattoo shop. We also have a salon, a barber shop and nail salon, as well as a spa. And we do talk therapy here,” Magus Ahnend, the owner of Paragon Studios, said.
Paragon Studios in Beckley opened on April 17, 2023. Almost a year later, they invited the Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce over to have their ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday.
“I wanted to add all the services to Paragon and have everything ready. All the renovations, which we are still doing just a little bit of in the basement I wanted it to have everything in place before we did the ribbon cutting, because that’s part of it also open. It’s all here,” Ahnend said.
There are currently 6 people working out of the studio, with the most popular services being piercings, jewelry, tattoos, and the barber and salon.
“I am the piercer. I also sell jewelry so I can make some of the jewelry. And I also do tattoo removal,” Ahend said.
There was a fun and festive energy in the studios and apparently, that is not unusual.
“The atmosphere here is just phenomenal. Every day you come in it is such an enjoyable atmosphere. You meet people from all kinds of different backgrounds and things and it’s just such a welcoming place to be. You can actually be who you want to be here. And that’s very important in today’s society and culture,” Jim Ellison, a barber at Paragon studios, said.
With an already healthy list of offerings, Paragon Studios plans to expand with massage therapy and even a boba tea bar.
Walk-ins are welcome, or you can make an appointment online. They are easy to find on Facebook or Instagram under Paragon Studios.
Now is a great time to pay a visit to 1002 W. Neville street in Beckley.
“Right now we’re running $10 off any piercing if you saw me on tv. We have raffles going on $5 a ticket, you can win a $250 tattoo from Courtney, a $300 tattoo from Logan, pretty much anything you want from Jim, or a piercing with your choice of jewelry from me,” Ahnend said.
