One more batch of rain before drying out midweek

We continue to track scattered showers and storms across southern West Virginia this Sunday, with the potential for a strong storm or two before the day wraps up. Rain chances will gradually taper off overnight, but areas that saw rain today will likely wake up to fog Monday morning.

Our recent rainy trend is almost behind us, with one more round of rain expected Monday night into Tuesday morning. After that, we’ll enjoy a stretch of dry and pleasant weather midweek.

Tuesday afternoon through Thursday is shaping up to be dry and warm, with highs climbing into the upper 70s and mid-80s across the region. If you like summer-like warmth, you’re going to enjoy the next several days.

Rain chances return by Friday and Saturday, but since we’re still several days out, it’s too early to make any changes to your Father’s Day weekend plans. Just consider this a heads-up—we may have to dodge a few showers and storms next weekend.
