GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – On Sunday, June 28, 2020, at approximately 6:57 pm, members of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a single-vehicle accident that occurred on US Route 60 west of Lewisburg.
The investigation would reveal that a motor scooter was eastbound on US Route 60 when it exited the roadway onto the southside shoulder. The scooter subsequently struck a fence, resulting in the driver being ejected from the motor scooter.
The driver, identified as Michael Allen Nelson, age 51 of Asbury, WV, would later succumb to injuries sustained in the accident.
