Clintonville, WV (WOAY)- The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched yesterday to reports of a gunshot wound in the Shoestring Trail area in Clintonville.
While en route, 911 advised the victim was a juvenile. Life-saving measures were attempted, and after several attempts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office Crime scene team then responded to the scene. Four other juveniles were identified as being present in the residence, three being in the room of the incident when it happened.
These juveniles were all taken to the Lewisburg detachment of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office along with guardians for interviews.
After multiple interviews and the collection of evidence, all the juveniles were released to their families.
The investigation is still active, no names wll be released due to those involved being juveniles.
