OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – He’s a natural-born performer who’s always loved to get up on any stage.
And Keelen Treadway can now call himself the two-time ‘under 21’ winner of the Oak Leaf Festival Talent Show.
“I had a great time performing and I’m glad that I got a chance to show my talent in front of the world,” said the ninth-grade performer, football player and singer.
Dream big and never give up on your dreams, because you never know how close you are to making them come true. That’s just what happened to this 15-year-old Oak Hill kid who never stopped believing in his.
Keelen wants to connect with people and make them smile.
“I’m a performer at heart,” the singer/entertainer said. I’ve done this ever since I was a young kid and I’ve really wanted to share my performing to make the world happy,” that’s just it.”
In 2023 the 15-year-old first debuted on the amphitheater stage performing ‘Uptown Funk’ by Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson. In 2024 he treated the audience to the Weeknd’s ‘Can’t Feel My Face.’ What he always keeps in mind and recommends to other performers…
“Make sure you have a song that is good for the audience,” said Treadway. “It’s fun to sing along with, do your own thing, practice and have fun with it.”
