OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – The Oak Hill Swim Club will set aside a pool night this weekend for children and adults with sensory sensitivities.
The sensory-friendly evening swim is scheduled for Sunday, July 19, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Organizers say the pool will run at a slower, quieter pace than a typical summer evening. Lifeguards and additional adults will be in the water for swimmers who want help getting in.
Fayette County Friends of Autism will be on site with information and support for families.
Admission is $6 per person. Organizers say families who cannot cover the cost should reach out ahead of time.
The Oak Hill Swim Club is located at 420 Jones Ave. in Oak Hill.
