Oak Hill man faces domestic battery and burglary charges in Fayette County

Oak Hill, WV (WOAY) –  An Oak Hill man is facing felony charges in Fayette County 

Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in Mount Hope after 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday. 

Authorities made contact with the visibly injured victim upon arriving on the scene. 

The victim told deputies that her ex-boyfriend forced his way into her home and struck her, fleeing the scene before authorities arrived. 

The victim also reported that the man had contacted her all day via phone calls and text messages, stating that “things would not end well for her.” 

Deputies tracked down and arrested the suspect, who they discovered has a history of domestic violence convictions. 

Fayette County authorities charged Alfred L. Jennings, 61, of Oak Hill, with felony burglary and a third offense domestic battery.

Officers transported Jennings to Southern Regional Jail to await further court proceedings.
