Oak Hill, WV (WOAY)- Oak Hill has officially hired a new city manager.
Last night, the Oak Hill City Council voted 5-2 to hire Cris Meadows to take over the role.
Meadows brings a wealth of experience to the position, having served as the city of Hinton’s long-time city manager.
He will oversee departments such as fire, public works, and the sanitary board.
Meadow will also be driving downtown revitalization and strategic planning initiatives.
Last night, the city council also approved the city manager’s salary at $100,000 a year.
Meadows will replace Damita Johnson, who is retiring from the role.
