Designs by Barb & James Barbara Halstenberg says she can almost guarantee she will get double the floral orders on Valentine’s Day than the previous week.
While many wait until the last minute to pick up flowers, chocolate, or a gift — it’s the thought that counts when it comes to love.
“You would not believe how many people come in here or the guys come in here at 4:00 on the way home and say, ‘I’ve got to have something for Valentine’s Day, have you got some more made up?’ Of course, we accommodate the need because we know it’s going to happen.”
Halstenberg expects quite a few last-minute orders.
“We’re happy to take care of all of them,” the florist said. “Because people just have to have that last little touch of Valentine’s Day.”
