Oak Hill locals hands out free pizza to spread love to the community

OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – This evening, a local Oak Hill minister handed out free pizza to spread love and lift the community’s spirits.

Chris Lawson, an Oak Hill native and with help from friends, handed out over 15 boxes of free pizza to residents at Pine Knolls Apartments in Oak Hill. Lawson says he wanted to spread love and bring everyone together after this week’s rioting across the country.

“We just wanted to let people know that love is real, and its plenty out here. All this stuff that’s going on in the world, all these riots, I don’t believe that’s right. I believe we need to come together spread love and to show people that every cop isn’t bad; every person isn’t bad; whether you’re black or white, we are human,” said Lawson.

Lawson says he’ll continue to spread the love by passing out food to different communities.
