Fayette County, WV (WOAY) – The New River Gorge Regional Development Authority’s executive director, Jina Belcher, has been elected chair of the newly-created Fayette County Land Reuse agency.
The state’s first-ever county-based land reuse agency intends to create new residential, commercial, and industrial developments.
The agency will identify abandoned sites and structures and obtain ownership to determine how to repurpose the property.
Additional agency members include Fayette County Commissioner Tom Louisos, County Assessor Eddie Young, and public member Terry Sizemore.
Members of the agency will serve one-year terms and will not be paid for the role.
