NICHOLAS COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – The Nicholas County School Board approved its plans to reopen schools in the fall.
The plan is to have students attend school two days a week, with three days of online learning. The school board is also allowing parents to have their students have school solely online if they so choose.
“The first three weeks, under the yellow light, we would have Monday and Tuesday with a group of students in the class, Wednesday teachers and students stay home, and they work remotely,” Superintendent Dr. Donna Burge-Tetrick said. “Thursday Friday, a new group of students come in, and we will be doing a deep cleaning on Wednesdays.”
The full plan to reopen schools is available on the Nicholas County School Board website.
