Nice weather today gives way to storms tomorrow night

It is a wonderful day to do anything that you want to do outside today, with plentiful sunshine and temperatures in the 70s.

That makes it quite a bit warmer than it was yesterday at this time.

It’s dry as well, with humidity levels in the 30% neighborhood.

Tonight and the early part of tomorrow should be nice as well, before a strong storm system approaches from the northwest. This is the same system that is bringing some heavy weather to parts of the upper Midwest today.

We also have chances of severe weather, but most of the heavy stuff will be to our northwest.

Some of the storms in that area will produce strong winds and large hail, with an isolated tornado is not out of the question. One or two of the strong storms could sneak into our area as well, and we’ll track them for you as they come through the area tomorrow night and into Wednesday morning.

Decent rainfall is also possible, and this could lead to some travel troubles on Wednesday morning. An isolated strong storm is also possible on Wednesday afternoon, with gusty winds representing the main threat.

After the main system is gone, rain chances will stick around for a few extra days as a secondary low passes to our northwest. The chance for showers lasts into the weekend, before ending, with cooler air in the wake of the lows, even if only temporarily. Even when it cools down, it will only be normal on Sunday. Temperatures rebound to the middle 70s again as we end the forecast next Monday.
