Nice today, warmer with showers later

It is a nice day around the region with temperatures in the 60s and 70s. It is a shade cooler than normal, but still much nicer than it was a few days ago. Skies are clear for the most part, save for some haze that is coming into the area from the wildfires in Canada.

The weather will stay pleasant for the next few days as a high-pressure center over the Atlantic stays in place. A front will try to push into the area, but the high stalls it a bit and it won’t arrive until Friday.

Unfortunately for our weekend plans, once the showers arrive, the chance for rain will stay with us through the end of the extended forecast. The heaviest rain will be on Saturday, but fortunately flooding should not be too much of a concern since we would have had several days of dry weather at that point.

Temperatures will stay mild throughout the forecast, with highs in the 70s and 80s across the board, with the warmest days being early in the forecast before the rain shows up.
