WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): The work week ends on a nicer note with mostly sunny skies and increasing temperatures. The morning starts cold with most places in the 30s for the morning commute, but we rise into the upper 50s in the afternoon. Some of McDowell and Wyoming counties may even reach 60 degrees later today. The dry conditions stick around after sunset, leaving any events unaffected until early Saturday morning. That is when a warm front dragging some showers with it will pass, bringing some rain into the region overnight and Saturday morning. Meteorologist Christian Boteler has the details:
Rain will continue to be scattered Saturday, but will become more widespread overnight into Sunday. The rain will make things wet for any Sunday morning plans, but the rain will dissipate as the afternoon passes, giving us a calmer evening to end the weekend. Temperatures will also decrease by almost 10 degrees between Saturday and Sunday as the warm front Saturday morning is followed by a cold front Sunday morning. Rain chances will continue to fluctuate as we go into the next work week.

Speaking of the next work week, it will start off on a drier and cooler note. It will be one of the better days this week despite only reaching around 50 degrees thanks to the lack of rain. Tuesday will bring showers into the forecast, making the rain gear a necessity through the day, even if it doesn’t rain throughout. These showers will stick around early Wednesday morning, drying up before the sun rises. This on and off pattern continues as the next large front starts to approach later next week.
