Nice, but cool, this weekend

After some early snow and cold, the skies cleared, and the temperatures rebounded nicely this afternoon. They’re not quite as warm as we’ve seen over the past few days, but it’s still wasn’t a bad afternoon to be outside as long as you have a jacket.
Tonight, it won’t be as cold with lows in the upper 30s around the area. The warming trend continues tomorrow with highs in the middle 50s and, after a brief dip in the temperatures on Sunday morning, to near 60 by Sunday afternoon. Rain chances this weekend will be small, with a 20% chance on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
Another strong storm system pushes a front through the area Sunday night and into Monday, leading to a very wet start to the new work week.
After Monday’s rain is gone, rain chances for the rest of the extended forecast period will be lower than they have been recently. Despite this, it will still be an active pattern. One system will pass through the area Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, producing rain and snow showers, with little accumulation. The long-range pattern looks to turn warmer again but wet as well, so the parade of storms is not quite done for our area just yet.
