Ghent, WV (WOAY)- New River Community and Technical College (New River CTC) announces a non-credit workforce heavy equipment operations program to meet the growing demand for skilled operators.
The program will focus on construction, excavation, and site development industries.
Students will receive hands-on training with dozers, skid steers, mini excavators, and backhoes, as well as essential safety, equipment maintenance, and site assessment coursework.
Classes begin on April 14 through August 1.
The cost to attend is $7000.
The program is eligible for Workforce HEAPS funding and may be eligible for Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding.
Students must preregister to attend and can fill out a workforce education form to register.
