New deputy sworn in at the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office

GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – Circuit Judge Robert E. Richardson administers the oath of office to Andrew Barnett, the newest member of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Barnett stated that becoming a deputy sheriff is the fulfillment of a career goal, and he looks forward to serving the citizens of Greenbrier County.

Sheriff Sloan welcomed Deputy Barnett to their ranks and advised that he is a needed addition to the department.  A recent deputy sheriff testing cycle, scheduled for the first week of April, had to be canceled due to the COVID-19 crisis and he advised they are looking forward to rescheduling the test to fill other department vacancies when circumstances allow.
