Beckley, WV (WOAY) – Dancers in the Beckley area have a new place to get outfitted. Treasured Sole Dance Boutique opened Monday at 363 Ragland Road, carrying leotards, shoes, and the gear dancers need.
The shop’s standout service is fitting dancers for pointe shoes, the reinforced shoes ballet dancers use to rise onto their toes. It’s a specialized fitting matched to each dancer’s foot, and one that has previously meant a long drive for many local dancers.
“There’s a lot of dancers who’ve had to be traveling far distances to be able to be fitted for those specialized shoes, and they will be able to provide that service here in Beckley, which is super exciting,” said founder Laura Pennick.
Pennick also runs Rhythms of Grace Studio, located just across the street from the new boutique.
