Nearly 500 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the Mountain State

(WOAY) – Nearly 500 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the Mountain State.

According to the West Virginia DHHR, 481 people (44.7%) have recovered from the disease.

Thirty-six people (3.3%) have died from the COVID-19 virus.

West Virginia has 1,079 positive cases statewide, 40,489 tests have been given.  The current positive rate of cases remains below 3% at (2.66%).

Five counties (Calhoun, Clay, Doddridge, Ritchie, and Webster) still do not have any confirmed cases of COVID-19.
