Temperatures are staying fairly mild through Tuesday and we had some much needed rain Saturday. The rain is not going to end any time soon which is a really good thing for us, being in a severe drought across our region.
Here is a look at Tuesday afternoon, rain should move in Tuesday morning and last through Tuesday afternoon and some of this could be accompanied by thunder. The next photo shows more rain coming through Wednesday afternoon. This rain will not be constantly falling through the time frame of Tuesday into Wednesday, but both days will feature periods of rain. By mid-afternoon on Wednesday, some thunder could be possible with the heaviest rain falling.

Here is the futurecast rainfall over the next 7 days from the European model, who is being very nice to us across Southern West Virginia. While some areas are shown picking up around an inch of rain, one inch of rain will not make a huge impact to alleviate our drought, but it will definitely help! Most of this rain falls Tuesday and Wednesday.

Looking at the full 7 day forecast, we will see plenty of sunshine through Monday, before the rain and potential for some thunder comes through Tuesday and Wednesday. The potential for showers will continue after Wednesday, as Thursday through Saturday all feature the chance for some showers. The thunder potential does appear best Tuesday and Wednesday compared to any other day.
